China and East Timor formally established diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level. Coercive diplomacy is a diplomatic instrument if/when it only uses threat of force or economic sanctions; it cannot be a part of diplomatic approach if it employs kinetic power or violence, be it limited in its approach, because coercive diplomacy and the use of military force are joint-but-opposite of the coin.
